How it works

Mark-Vu is a digital skin analysis camera system. The maker is confirmed by the clinic that uses it. It takes images of the face under different lighting and gives scores or maps for items such as spots, pores, wrinkles, and redness. The report is a picture of the skin on that day, and it does not replace an exam by a doctor. Scores are most useful to compare your own results over time, not to compare with other people.

Asking about Mark-Vu in English

Ask the coordinator to confirm the device name and ask for a copy of your report in English. Ask that the images and scores be saved so you can compare them at a later visit.

When the doctor goes through the report, ask, "Which result matters most for my plan?" and "What is normal for my age and skin type?" Take photos of the pages or ask for a digital copy. A reliable report lists the date and the settings.
